Primer of all primers
When painting a wall we use a primer to protect the wall, seal cracks and smooth over the texture to create a flawless finish, and guess what girls ….. its the same for your face. To get that red carpet glowing skin, throwing foundation on with your fingers just wont cut it. Treat your skin like a masterpiece painting ladies. We have tried alot of primers and what we look for is a silicone based one. This will smooth out any fine lines, fill in pores and give your skin a flawless base to start with.
So what is primer and which one is best? This is a question we get asked a lot when applying makeup or when teaching a lesson.
Now which one do we choose ?
We chose a primer depending on the skin type so for dry / normal skin we are in love with Tom Ford illuminating primer. It glides on leaving your skin looking awake and hydrated. We love wearing it on its own, customers have even asked us what foundation we were wearing because our skin looked so good! It is a bit more pricey at £54.00 but completely worth every penny. Perfect summer purchase.
For those with more oily skin look no further than Illamasqua matt veil. Not only does it smell like toffee popcorn but it leaves your skin like velvet. This is a great mattifier and even good for men to use after there moisturise to stop them from shining (just tell them its cream girls they wont no the difference but will thank you for it). At the price of £30 it is worth the money and last ages as you only need a pea size. Packaging is sexy too!
So remember girls primers are your best friend to a flawless finish and to keep your makeup on all night (or in some cases till the morning!! tut tut!)
