Are you Date ready?…. Lucky we have it covered when it comes to your make up.
After making a few of our clients up for their first dates on Saturday, i watched each lady walk out the studio with their hair ready to be taken out of rollers, fabulous makeup which had been carefully thought out and a new outfit waiting to be slipped into… But was it worth it?
As you can imagine our studio is like a girls bedroom with talks on clothes , celebs and obviously … Men, so on sharing all our disaster date stories it occurred to me, do we spend so much money and effort in our appearance as a possible investment in our future?
We know you have to kiss a few frogs to find your prince but we think its unacceptable for our gorgous ladies to be taken to cafe nero on a date ( yes this is true) when they have spend most of a weeks wages and the last 24 hours on making sure they are a smooth, tanned, flick perfect goddess!
Is it fair to say we are all looking for our happily ever after so we are prepared to buy a new dress or pay to get our hair and makeup done on the hope that this date could be “the one”?
So ladies hang in there, don’t settle. Use these experiences as a practice, think of it as a trial for when Mr Wright comes along and you will be ready to knock is sock right off!
MAKEUP TIPS FOR A FIRST DATE
When planning your makeup we have a few golden rules to make you feel confident and look unbelievably gorgeous.
- Don’t go too heavy, you don’t want to appear to be wearing a mask or to have to introduce him a completely different person when you take it off! ( I have been there!)
- Go for a nude lip, if its going great you don’t want to smudge when you kiss!
- A light smokey eye is perfect for that effortless sexy look.
Go for some light lashes to bring all the focus to your eyes
